VERSES FROM EXODUS 25-28

From Exodus 25

The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give.

3 These are the offerings you are to receive from them: gold, silver and bronze;

4 blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair;

8 “Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. 9 Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.

10 “Have them make an ark of acacia wood—two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.

16 Then put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law, which I will give you.

17 “Make an atonement cover of pure gold

22 There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the covenant, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.

23 “Make a table of acacia wood

30 Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times.

31 “Make a lampstand of pure gold. Hammer out its base and shaft, and make its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms of one piece with them.

From Exodus 26

1“Make the tabernacle with ten curtains of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn, with cherubim woven into them by a skilled worker.

From Exodus 27

1“Build an altar of acacia wood.

9 “Make a courtyard for the tabernacle.

20 “Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning.

21 In the tent of meeting, outside the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law, Aaron and his sons are to keep the lamps burning before the Lord from evening till morning. This is to be a lasting ordinance among the Israelites for the generations to come.

From Exodus 28

1“Have Aaron your brother brought to you from among the Israelites, along with his sons, so they may serve me as priests. Make sacred garments for your brother Aaron to give him dignity and honor.

6 “Make the ephod of gold

15 “Fashion a breastpiece for making decisions

29 “Whenever Aaron enters the Holy Place, he will bear the names of the sons of Israel over his heart on the breastpiece of decision as a continuing memorial before the Lord. 30 Also put the Urim and the Thummim in the breastpiece, so they may be over Aaron’s heart whenever he enters the presence of the Lord. Thus Aaron will always bear the means of making decisions for the Israelites over his heart before the Lord.
